Telehealth Psychiatry Across Arizona
You do not have to live in the Northwest Valley to be our patient. We provide psychiatric care by secure video to patients anywhere in Arizona — Tucson, Flagstaff, Yuma, Prescott, Sedona, the Navajo Nation, and every community in between.
How virtual care works here
Virtual visits are the same appointment as an in-person visit: the same provider, the same length, the same fee. You are not routed to whichever clinician happens to be free. You see PA Mandie or PA Erin, the same way you would in our Glendale office. Our malpractice carrier requires that we see each telehealth patient in person at our Glendale office once per year. That annual visit lets us take vital signs and complete any testing that cannot be done remotely. Everything in between can be virtual. Some services do require an in-person visit, and we will tell you in advance when that applies: drug testing, pharmacogenetic sample collection, and physical or movement examinations. We make case-by-case exceptions where distance makes the annual visit a genuine hardship — please feel free to ask us.
What you need
A private space, a reliable internet connection, and a phone, tablet or computer with a camera. We will text and/or email you a link before your appointment — we’ll ask your preference. There is nothing to install. Because we prescribe, you must be physically located in Arizona at the time of your appointment. If you are traveling out of state, let us know and we will reschedule.
Which of our services work well virtually
- Medication management — the majority of our follow-up care
- Nutritional psychiatry — works particularly well by video, since much of it is dietary history and planning
- Perinatal and postpartum care — virtual visits remove a real barrier when you are late in pregnancy or home with a newborn
- Perimenopause and hormone-related mental health
- Obesity psychiatry
ADHD evaluation using QbTest requires an in-person visit, because the test is administered on dedicated equipment in our office.
Beyond Arizona
Arizona is already participating in the PA Licensure Compact, but the nation is awaiting this being universally enacted. Once the licensure compact is enacted — currently projected for early 2027 — we expect to be able to see patients in every participating state. We will update this page when that happens. Today, we are licensed in Arizona only.
Getting Started
New patient evaluations are $375 and require 60 to 90 minutes. Follow-up visits are $125 and require 30 minutes. We are out-of-network with all insurance and provide a superbill you can submit for reimbursement.
