Editorial Policy

This page explains who writes the clinical content on this site, how it is reviewed, and how we decide what to publish.

Who writes our content

Clinical content is written or reviewed by our practicing providers:

  • Mandie Miller, DMS, PA-C — Doctor of Medical Science, nationally certified (NCCPA) physician associate with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry, practicing psychiatry since 2011
  • Erin Colvard, MSPAS, PA-C, RD — nationally certified (NCCPA) physician associate and registered dietitian

Every article carries the name and credentials of the person who wrote it. We do not publish anonymous clinical content and we do not publish content written by anyone without relevant clinical training.

How we source

We cite peer-reviewed literature, professional bodies, and government health agencies. Where evidence is mixed or emerging — which is often the case in nutritional psychiatry and pharmacogenetics — we say so rather than overstating what is known.

Review and updates

Clinical pages carry a last-reviewed date reflecting genuine review, not an automated timestamp. We revise content when guidelines change, when new evidence emerges, or when we find an error.

What this content is and is not

Everything on this site is general education. It is not medical advice, it does not establish a provider-patient relationship, and it is not a substitute for evaluation by a qualified clinician. Psychiatric treatment is individual, and what is right for one person may be wrong for another.

Corrections

If you believe something here is inaccurate, tell us at [email protected]. We correct errors and note substantive corrections on the page.

Independence

We do not accept payment to feature products, medications, laboratories or services. Where we name a specific test or product we use, we say so and explain why we use it.
