“LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE.” – Hippocrates
Our very own Registered Dietitian (RD) and psychiatric Physician Associate (PA-C), Erin Colvard, utilized her >13 years in clinical dietetics, combined with additional training in nutritional psychiatry, and custom-built online courses anyone can take.
Through these general overview courses, anyone can learn how to optimize their nutrition to best support their brain and body. In many cases, this can help bridge the gap between where our effort, willpower, therapy, and even medication can take us, and where we ultimately want to be.
The courses below are not intended to replace medication management. Rather, these courses teach crucial building blocks to set your brain and body up for success on your path toward best mental health.
While some of the courses are specific to a diagnostic spectrum, we STRONGLY recommend that you first learn “the basics,” as well as macronutrients and micronutrients. The best house is built upon a solid foundation. Translation: you will garner the most out of a diagnosis-specific course if you first understand and implement these foundational, core concepts.
